Mark Sheppard, known for his role in “Supernatural,” claims to have experienced six major heart attacks.
Mark Sheppard, an actor, shared on Instagram that he experienced a cardiac emergency and collapsed in his kitchen on Friday.
The performer from “Supernatural” who played Crowley in numerous episodes stated that his likelihood of surviving was almost nonexistent.
“After experiencing six major heart attacks and being revived four times, I was informed that I had a complete blockage of 100% in my LAD,” stated Sheppard in the caption accompanying a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a widowmaker heart attack occurs when the heart’s largest artery, the left anterior descending (LAD) artery, is blocked or occluded, preventing blood flow.
According to Cleveland Clinic, receiving prompt medical care is essential for increasing chances of survival.
Misha Collins, the actor who played Castiel on “Supernatural,” sent well wishes for Sheppard’s quick recovery.
“Hey Mark! You don’t have to always go above and beyond! Having 6 heart attacks is unnecessary, 2 or 3 would have been just as impressive,” stated Collins. “You’ve already impressed us, so please focus on healing and rejoining us on the road. Love you, my friend.”
Recently, Sheppard shared on Instagram that he had shed almost 40 pounds.
“I am feeling great,” he stated. “It is a new era.”
