The judge presiding over the fraud trial of Trump in New York has approved a $10,000 penalty for breaking the restriction on speaking to the media.


Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing the ongoing civil fraud trial of former President Donald Trump and other defendants in New York, upheld a $10,000 fine he imposed

On Wednesday, there were discussions about remarks made by Trump outside of the courtroom.

Engoron made the announcement on Thursday, approximately one hour after Trump’s lawyers requested a review of the penalty.

The judge issued a limited gag order

During the trial earlier this month, on the second day, Trump was prohibited from posting or commenting about his staff members. This decision was made after Trump shared a photo of Engoron’s clerk on his social media platform, Truth Social. The post was also shared on Trump’s campaign website, even after it had been deleted from Truth Social. Engoron issued the order.imposed a $5,000 fine

Last week, Trump was penalized for the violation and cautioned that he could potentially face harsher punishments in the future, such as imprisonment.
