The upcoming Super Bowl LVIII, set to take place on Feb. 11, will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which is located thousands of miles away. However, due to Tokyo being 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas, the singer should have plenty of time to travel and prepare for the performance.
Be punctual.
To witness the matchup between Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers, follow these steps:
The significance of time disparity
Taylor Swift’s performance at Tokyo Dome on February 10th will begin at 6 p.m. in the local time zone. Her shows typically last around 4 hours, so with the 17-hour time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas, she will take the stage in Tokyo at approximately 1 a.m. in Las Vegas.
The international date line is an imaginary division in the Pacific Ocean that separates calendar dates, as stated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. According to the agency, crossing this line means becoming a time traveler as going west results in a day ahead, while going back east means going back in time.
After the concert concludes, it will take around 13 hours to fly from Tokyo to Las Vegas. Due to the time difference, Swift will have plenty of time to arrive in Las Vegas on Saturday evening, well in advance of Sunday’s game.
Will Taylor Swift be making an appearance at the Super Bowl?
It is a possibility, however she has not confirmed it yet. The musician will be starting another portion of her tour in Australia on February 16th.
The duration of the trip from Vegas to Melbourne, where Swift will be putting on a performance, is roughly 18 hours. The time difference will not work in her favor for this journey.
Melbourne is 19 hours ahead of Las Vegas. The Super Bowl is typically around 4 hours long. The game is set to start at 6:30 p.m. ET, or 3:30 p.m. local time in Vegas, on Feb. 11, which means the game should end around 7:30 p.m. local time.
If the Chiefs win, Swift has enough time to reach Melbourne, even accounting for potential celebrations. However, it would undoubtedly be a hectic week for the singer, with lots of traveling involved.
