The Academy has announced that Joni Mitchell will be performing at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

On Sunday, the Recording Academy announced.
In 2002, Mitchell received a lifetime achievement award from the Academy at the age of 80.
This year, she is nominated for her 10th Grammy for her live album titled “Joni Mitchell at Newport” in the category of Best Folk Album.
Mitchell has been officially announced as a performer for the upcoming Grammys broadcast.
The artists who were previously announced to perform at the Grammy Awards.
Some of the featured artists include Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, and U2.
In 2015, she suffered a brain aneurysm that almost claimed her life while she was performing at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island.
After losing her ability to play due to aneurysm, Mitchell was able to teach herself how to play guitar once more.
“I am currently in the process of learning,” she informed Anthony Mason during an interview on “CBS Mornings” in July 2022. “I am watching instructional videos online to figure out finger placement. It’s astonishing how an aneurysm can affect basic physical movements, like getting out of a chair or bed. I have had to relearn these tasks through repetition.”
As a child, I enjoyed water ballet but I have since forgotten how to do the breaststroke,” she explained. “Whenever I attempted it, I struggled and almost drowned. It’s like starting over from the beginning, relearning everything.”
