Beyoncé reveals her latest haircare brand, Cécred.
Beyoncé is venturing into the haircare industry.
On Wednesday, the popular vocalist shared that she will be introducing Cécred on February 20th.
The caption for the announcement read, “Hair is sacred,” cleverly referencing the brand’s name.
Beyoncé gave a sneak peek of the collection through a brief video showcasing various women, including herself, with diverse hair textures styling their hair. The video also included a clip of a young Beyoncé standing next to her mother Tina, who is a hair stylist.
The hair salon in Houston was previously owned by Tina Knowles.
Beyoncé mentions in a different Instagram post, where there is a response to the release, that she was raised in her mother’s hair salon. She also says, “Come with me on my journey with hair.”
The specific products that will be sold under the line are unclear.
Beyoncé has previously embarked on other business endeavors. In 2010, she established a management company called Parkwood Entertainment and also introduced her clothing brand Ivy Park.
Launched collaborations with Adidas to create new merchandise., in 2016.
