Mr. Biden stated to reporters upon his return to the White House from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware that although there are current sanctions in place, they are contemplating implementing additional sanctions.

When questioned about the possibility of implementing stricter penalties against Russia on Friday, Mr. Biden informed journalists that he was exploring “various courses of action.”
He has also utilized the news of Navalny’s passing to emphasize the danger presented by Russia, and has called on Congress to authorize additional measures.funding to Ukraine
Mr. Biden stated on Monday that he was uncertain if the death would persuade House Republicans to vote on additional aid for Ukraine.
He expressed optimism but doubted that anything could convince them to change their stance. He also stated that the Republican party is making a grave mistake by not addressing the issue.
