A decision appears to have been made in the matter of “Coyote vs. Acme,” the Warner Bros. Discovery court comedy inspired by the beloved Looney Tunes character.
According to a post on social media by lead actor Will Forte on Thursday, it seems unlikely that the movie will ever be released.
The movie was initially planned to come out in theaters in July, but Deadline has reported that it was delayed and put on hold in November.

According to a report from The Wrap, after receiving backlash from fans and the industry, Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount all made lucrative offers to screen the film, but none were ultimately accepted.
“When I initially found out that our movie was going to be ‘erased’, I hadn’t watched it yet,” Forte stated, speaking to the actors and team involved in the film. “So I was speculating the same thing as everyone else: this must be a terrible film. However, after watching it, I was amazed by how impressive it is.”
The former SNL cast member mentioned the film’s impressive rating among preview audiences, and expressed disappointment in the studio’s choice to abort the project early.

Forte commented that the individuals who purchased this film have the right to do as they please with it, but that does not necessarily mean he approves or agrees with their actions.
He ended by acknowledging that your commitment, perseverance, and passion over the years are clearly evident in every single frame of this movie.
The movie features Forte and John Cena, based on a satirical article from 1990 in The New Yorker by Ian Frazier. They are joined by the animated character Wile E. Coyote, who is taking legal action against the Acme Corporation for their unreliable products that he used in his unsuccessful attempts to catch the Road Runner in the well-known Looney Tunes cartoons.
According to the parody article styled as a court record, Mr. Coyote reveals that he has experienced multiple incidents involving explosions caused by purchases made from the Defendant.
Warner Bros. Discovery has terminated a film for the third time while it was in its final stages. The studio removed “Scoob! Holiday Haunt” and “Batgirl” from their balance sheet for 2022.
Castro stated in his November social media post that as the Justice Department and @FTC update their antitrust guidelines, they should examine this behavior. He also quoted someone who compared it to intentionally setting a building on fire in order to collect insurance money.
