A family in the United Kingdom narrowly avoided a potential house fire when their kitchen caught on fire and filled with smoke. The unexpected culprit responsible for the incident was their own pet dog.

The Essex County Fire and Rescue Service of England reported that upon arrival at the scene, the kitchen of the family was filled with smoke. The firefighters effectively used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames and proceeded to ventilate the premises. Fortunately, the fire was contained within the kitchen, limiting damage to that area.
