“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” reunites the original cast and introduces new talent four decades after the initial release of the movie.
The familiar cast of “Ghostbusters,” including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts, returns to the eerie streets of New York in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.” In this sequel, they confront a new supernatural danger while also battling against their formidable foes: the massive proton packs.
Murray complained, “These packs are so heavy. It was awful wearing them before, but now it feels like torture.”
40 years after its initial debut, the iconic ensemble from the beloved 1984 film “Ghostbusters” has come together with new cast members Paul Rudd and Mckenna Grace, blending the past and present in a revival of the classic.
The rough draft of the screenplay for “Ghostbusters” was about 27 pages in length. He read it early in the morning, at approximately 5:30 a.m., and immediately agreed to take part by saying, “Alright, count me in.”
In 1989, the actors came together again for the sequel “Ghostbusters II” and recently reunited in 2021 for the new film.

Murray and the other members of the initial team, all in their seventies now, shared some humorous comments about feeling older while working on the film.
Murray mentioned that they often joke about completing a scene where they have to walk up a set of stairs and then look at each other with a sense of relief, as if they had reached the end.

Gary Grooberson, a teacher who is aware of the legacy of the original “Ghostbusters,” will be making a comeback in the new movie. Despite starring in numerous films such as “Clueless” and “AntMan,” Rudd expressed his admiration for the original “Ghostbusters” team.
“It’s amazing,” stated Rudd. “Just being here, surrounded by all of them. It feels surreal. I’ve gotten to know them over the years, but I’m still a huge fan of each person on this couch.”

The “Ghostbusters” legacy lives on in a story that invokes a strong sense of spirit. During an interview with “CBS Mornings,” she shared a nostalgic memory from her childhood when she visited the Sony lot for an audition and took a moment to stand next to the iconic “Ghostbusters” vehicle.
Grace jokingly expressed that she finds it amusing to discuss the movie and identify as a “Ghostbuster” with her friends. She wondered if she was saying the correct things and allowed to represent the group.
The movie “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” will be released in cinemas on March 22nd.
