Julie Su, Acting Secretary of Labor, pledges to stay in her position despite the limited likelihood of her confirmation, as discussed on “The Takeout” program.
Julie Su, who was nominated by President Joe Biden for labor secretary more than a year ago, is still awaiting confirmation. Despite ongoing opposition, she remains optimistic about her chances of being confirmed.
During this week’s episode of “The Takeout” podcast, Su stated to chief correspondent Major Garrett of Washington that she has no intentions of stepping back and continues to be deeply appreciative of his backing.
During the nomination and confirmation procedures, I had the opportunity to meet with numerous senators. I hold a deep appreciation for the process and recognize the crucial role they play. She also stated that while we remain optimistic, we must stay committed to the task at hand.
