In the 2024 election, Donald Trump’s campaign and fundraising organizations reportedly spent more than $10 million on legal expenses, while Joe Biden allocated their funds towards advertisements and hiring new staff members.

In March, President Biden’s campaign had $71 million in available funds, giving him a two-fold financial edge over former president Donald Trump.

The beginning of the month saw the Trump campaign with a considerable amount of $33.5 million in cash. However, they were only able to add an extra $3.5 million due to significant expenditures on advertising, travel, and campaign events to counter Nikki Haley’s efforts leading up to March 5.Super Tuesday contests.

The amount of money spent on legal fees for Trump’s campaign and the super PACs backing him has exceeded $10 million in 2024. The total is still increasing.

According to the AP, when Mr. Biden uses Marine One helicopters for transportation, the expense ranges from $16,700 to $20,000 per hour, based on data from the Pentagon. Flying on Air Force One costs approximately $200,000 per hour. The cost does not include the use of military cargo planes to transport his armored cars and other vehicles, as reported by the AP.

The payment dates coincided with Mr. Biden’s visits to Nevada, Florida, and New York for campaign-related events and fundraising activities.

The remaining expenses for the Biden campaign were allocated towards media purchases and employee salaries, totaling to $1.6 million for media and 141 employees receiving payroll. The campaign plans to increase its number of field staff by 100 in March and has also budgeted $30 million for advertising over the course of six weeks.

On the other hand, as the month began, the Trump campaign, alongside the Republican National Committee and political action committees in support of Trump, had approximately $74 million in available funds.

In February, MAGA Inc., the main super PAC backing President Trump, received $12.7 million in donations from affluent individuals, bringing their total cash on hand to over $25.5 million at the start of March.

staff reductions and fresh management

Last month, the group’s net profit was only $2.6 million after accounting for expenses. However, their cash on hand finally exceeded ten million dollars and ended the month with a total of $11.3 million.

Biden and his team have been mocking Trump’s campaign for lacking funds, while highlighting their advantage in terms of staff and travel preparations.

“During a recent fundraiser in Dallas, I was approached by a man in need. He requested my assistance with his overwhelming debt and financial struggles. In a light-hearted manner, I responded that unfortunately, I was unable to provide aid to him.”
