On Thursday, Netflix announced that on July 20th, the announcement will be made at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
The live match between 27-year-old Paul and 57-year-old Tyson, who last fought in a 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr., resulting in a tie, will be streamed on the platform.
A brief preview clip shared by Netflix depicts Paul arriving on a rooftop via helicopter and later encountering Tyson.
Paul gained a considerable number of supporters as a prominent figure on YouTube and became a professional boxer four years ago. He has emerged victorious in nine out of ten fights, with six of those victories being knockouts. However, most of his opponents were not well-known. His sole defeat occurred last year against Tommy Fury, who is the half-brother of the current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
posted on social media.
Paul recently posted the following message: “He is undoubtedly the top heavyweight of all time…the most brutal knockout expert to date. However, I am younger and quicker, and I am committed to putting in the effort to become physically stronger.”
Paul’s second bout as a professional took place during the undercard of the Tyson-Jones match. His most recent match was just last Saturday, where he scored a knockout against Ryan Bourland.
Tyson stated that he is eagerly anticipating facing Jake Paul in the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He acknowledges Paul’s growth as a boxer and is curious to see how his youth and determination will combine with the skill and expertise of a great like Tyson. This coming full circle is sure to be an exhilarating experience, as Tyson was the one to introduce Paul to boxing as an undercard for his fight against Roy Jones. Now, Tyson plans to potentially end Paul’s journey.
The stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play, AT&T Stadium, has a seating capacity of approximately 80,000. The specific number of seats that will be open for the Paul-Tyson fight is currently unknown.
