A team of researchers in California may have a response as they observed seismic-like activity during her Los Angeles Eras Tour performance at SoFi Stadium on August 5th, 2023.
After Swift’s concerts at Seattle’s Lumen Field
In July, a team of researchers from the California Institute of Technology conducted a study on seismic activity to gain further insight into the causes of “concert tremor.” Utilizing motion sensors placed near and inside SoFi Stadium and regional seismic network stations, they were able to detect 43 out of the 45 songs performed by Taylor Swift during her concert.
According to a research article published in Seismological Research Letters on March 13, Caltech scientists were able to determine the “local magnitude” of an earthquake by analyzing the energy emitted during each song at a concert in Los Angeles.
According to Pollstar, Swift’s total earnings have exceeded $1 billion. She is currently taking a short break from performing, but will resume her tour on May 9 in Paris to promote the release of her eleventh album.:
