“The Notebook” is being adapted from a popular romantic novel into a musical that will be performed on Broadway.
At the latest Broadway production’s merchandise stand, you can find typical items such as T-shirts and mugs, but unique to this show, they also offer boxes of tissues.
Author Nicholas Sparks mentioned that this is possibly one of the most sought-after merchandise items on Broadway, based on the articles he has read. He described it as a tissue box with the play’s logo.
Author Sparks has written 24 successful romance novels, which have collectively sold 130 million copies and even inspired 11 film adaptations. However, his debut novel, “The Notebook,” published in 1996, remains his top-selling work. The 2004 movie adaptation launched the careers of actors Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams and has since become a beloved romance story.
