In the trial for interference in the Fulton County election, a shocking claim was made on Monday evening stating that District Attorney Fani Willis is engaged in a “inappropriate” romantic relationship with one of the main prosecutors assigned to the case.
There is no evidence cited in the filing and it is solely based on information from sources who are connected to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney.
The claims were presented in a legal document by lawyers representing Michael Roman, a former high-ranking member of Trump’s campaign who is facing numerous accusations, including breaking the law.Georgia’s RICO law
The accuser claims that Willis is not just involved in a romantic relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade, but has also gained financial benefits from it.
The submission continues to allege – without providing proof – that Wade covered the expenses for both individuals to go on cruises and that they have also visited Napa Valley, Florida, and the Caribbean.
The lawyers representing Roman claim that the connection began before Willis selected Wade as the special prosecutor. Willis also authorizes Wade’s pay, which documents reveal has amounted to more than $650,000 for duties in the district attorney’s anti-corruption division since November 2021.
Roman’s legal team is attempting to have his charges dropped by arguing that the entire prosecution is invalid and unconstitutional, citing the recent allegations.
The request is made for the judge to remove Willis, Wade, and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office from handling the case.
The District Attorney’s Office in Fulton County will address the accusations by submitting necessary documents to the court.
