A group of archaeologists discover a unique armor from the 14th century in the vicinity of a Swiss castle. The discovery is described as remarkable.
“During an excavation near the German border, archaeologists in Switzerland uncovered a remarkably well-preserved gauntlet from the 14th century. According to officials, this discovery is unprecedented and has been described as a “sensational find.”
Initially, Lorena Burkhardt was hesitant to express her doubts. A post on Facebook, translated and shared by the canton of Zürich earlier this month, states, “This is a groundbreaking discovery in the field of archeology!” The post is accompanied by a video in which Burkhardt, the head archeologist of the excavation, talks about the ancient artifact.
Switzerland has recently discovered a remarkably intact gauntlet from the 14th century. The origins and history of this gauntlet are now being investigated by the cantonal archeology department.
