The United States military reported that a F-16 fighter jet crashed on Monday in South Korea while conducting a regular training session due to an unexpected issue during the flight. The pilot was able to eject and was subsequently saved.
The US Air Force stated that an F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 8th Fighter Wing was involved in an incident over the Yellow Sea on Monday.
The pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft. The Republic of Korea Maritime Forces have retrieved the pilot, who is conscious and in a stable state, according to the statement. He will undergo further evaluation upon returning to base.
