Today is a significant day known as Super Tuesday, where citizens are participating in voting for the presidential primaries and caucuses in :

It won’t be mathematically possible yet for former President Donald Trump to amass enough delegates to secure the nomination, but the outcome should provide a clearer sense of whether he’ll continue his dominance over Nikki Haley in the remaining states. Since 1988, when the first major Super Tuesday took place, no Republican has won the presidential nomination without winning the most states on that day.

Iowa Democrats initiated a mail-in voting process in January, but delayed announcing the results until today to adhere to new party regulations. The incumbent president is running unopposed in the primary election for his bid for reelection.

In Alaska, Virginia, and Vermont, the majority of primary states keep their voting locations open until 7 p.m. local time. Some may close as late as 8 p.m. local time. Eligible voters who are still in line at the time of closure will still have the opportunity to vote.
