The Trump administration will present two arguments in court in order to have the classified documents case thrown out.

The lawyers for former President Donald Trump will be seeking to persuade a judge in Florida on Thursday to dismiss special counsel Jack Smith’s case against him, which involves classified documents.

Judge Aileen Cannon is set to hear arguments on two motions filed by Trump, one that says the former president is shielded from prosecution by a federal recordkeeping law, and another that claims one of the charges presents numerous open legal questions.

This marks the second time in two weeks that Trump’s legal team and the attorneys from Smith’s office will meet in Cannon’s courtroom for a hearing.
