The official candidate of Venezuela’s governing PSUV party, Nicolas Maduro, will run for a third term in July 28 elections.
Diosdado Cabello, an official of PSUV, stated that Maduro was chosen “by consensus” during a gathering of the party.
“I am accepting my nomination as the official candidate of the PSUV party, marking 11 years of sanctions, economic turmoil, and allegations of widespread suppression. Together, we will achieve a new victory,” said the 61-year-old.
