The ambassador of Jordan to the United States stated that her country is advocating for a halt in hostilities in Washington.

Her country’s leaders believe that the conflict will contribute to the propagation of radical ideas.
Dina Kawar, the Jordanian Ambassador, stated on “Face the Nation” during her interview on Sunday that the conflict in Gaza may result in as many as 18,000 children becoming orphaned.
She inquired, “What should be done in this situation?” Research has indicated that a significant number of Hamas fighters were without parents. Our plea is for a halt to hostilities. … This is not an attempt to deviate from the global consensus, but rather a belief that joining forces with Arab and Islamic nations is the most effective path towards ending this conflict and returning to diplomatic discussions.
