Mourners are paying their respects to Rosalynn Carter as she lies in repose in Atlanta.

On Monday, the public is invited to pay their respects at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, where a 96-year-old individual is currently in repose.
Rosalynn Carter’s body was taken by motorcade to Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia, where the public was welcome to pay their respects along the route. The casket was then brought to the Rosalynn Carter Health and Human Sciences Complex at the university, where both Jimmy and Rosalynn had studied. Additionally, a formal ceremony to lay a wreath was conducted.
On Monday, the first of three days of services will be held for Rosalynn Carter, who was married to Jimmy Carter for 77 years. According to the Carter Center, a tribute service will take place on Tuesday and it is anticipated that the former president will be in attendance. Their son, Chip Carter, shared with The Washington Post that his father is getting a new suit made for the funeral because his current suits no longer fit due to his declining health.
It is anticipated that on Tuesday, there will be a commemorative event at Glenn Memorial Church at Emory University. The Carter Center has confirmed that all former first ladies, including Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama, and Melania Trump, will be present. Additionally, former President Bill Clinton will also be in attendance. It is also expected that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Georgia first lady Marty Kemp, other state officials, and members of the congressional delegation will join in on Tuesday.

The event on Tuesday is designated for specially invited individuals, as stated by the Carter Center.
A funeral procession will be held on Wednesday to bring the deceased to Maranatha Baptist Church for a funeral service attended by loved ones. Following the service, the casket will be transported in a hearse to the Carter family home for a private burial.
According to Chip Carter, Jimmy Carter was present with his wife during her last moments.
According to a statement from the Carter Center, the former president expressed that Rosalynn was a true partner in all of his achievements. He credited her with providing wise advice and encouragement whenever he needed it. He also noted that as long as she was alive, he always felt loved and supported.
She leaves behind her spouse, four offspring, and a total of 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
