The Pentagon announced that Yemen was targeted on Tuesday night in another attack, part of a continued series of attacks that have been occurring for several months. No harm or damage has been reported.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. local time, U.S. Central Command reported that eighteen drones, two anti-ship cruise missiles, and one anti-ship ballistic missile were launched by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, but were effectively intercepted and destroyed.
The joint effort of fighter jets from USS Dwight Eisenhower and missile destroyers USS Gravely, USS Laboon, and USS Mason, as well as the UK’s Royal Navy destroyer HMS Diamond, successfully took down the drones and missiles.

There were no casualties in the missile attack. However, in the early hours of December 31, four Houthi boats attempted to board the Hangzhou, a Danish-owned ship flying under a Singaporean flag.
According to CENTCOM, American military personnel returned fire, causing three out of the four Houthi boats to sink and resulting in the deaths of their crews.
