Daniel Kaluuya, who won an Oscar, has made a significant step in his professional journey by directing his first movie, titled “The Kitchen.” This film delves into the intricacies of the Black British experience within a dystopian world. After working on it for a decade, Kaluuya described it as a passion project and admitted that directing was more challenging than he initially thought, humbling him in the process.

Kaluuya expressed surprise at the level of attention and constant decision-making required.

He received praise for his portrayal of Fred Hampton, leader of the Black Panther Party, in the film “Judas and the Black Messiah.”
