This week, a series of lawsuits were filed in New York accusing well-known individuals, such as former governor Andrew Cuomo, rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, and actor Jamie Foxx, of sexual assault. These lawsuits were filed before the temporary Adult Survivors Act expired on Thursday, which allowed adults to file lawsuits against their alleged abusers within a one-year period, regardless of the statute of limitations.
