According to the U.S. embassy in Japan, the most well-known supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs will attend Super Bowl LVIII to watch Travis Kelce play, despite having a performance in Tokyo the previous night.

The Japanese embassy in Washington took action to reassure the public, and also shared that their employees are fans who enjoy making puns with Swift’s songs in public statements.

A message was shared on the embassy’s social media platform.

“We are aware that many individuals in Japan are eagerly anticipating Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Therefore, we would like to reassure those who may have concerns that this talented artist is fully capable of impressing Japanese audiences and will also be able to attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas to support the Chiefs, wearing their signature red, when they compete on the field.”

The social media users’ response to the post ranged from enthusiasm to confusion.
