The announcement for the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show at Apple Music was made in September.

During an appearance on CBS’s “Sunday Morning,” he expressed that this is a moment he has envisioned for the majority of his career.

“You know, everybody says they want to win a Grammy, or they want to win an Oscar, or a Tony, or an Emmy. A Super Bowl is something that everybody wants to play,” he said. “And here it is. It happened.”

According to Usher, he entrusted me with the responsibility of not neglecting the culture. This was something he emphasized, saying, “We’re doing this for the culture. I want you to play the songs that we love and that people know you for. Give them the moments they look forward to seeing, go for the culture.” I acknowledged and assured him that I understood.

Shaheem Sanchez will be providing an American Sign Language interpretation of the halftime show, and the NFL has not announced any additional artists who will be joining Usher on stage.

Who will be performing the national anthem at the 2024 Super Bowl?

Reba McEntire, a renowned country music artist and recipient of a Grammy Award, has been chosen to perform the national anthem at the upcoming Super Bowl. Despite this being her first time performing at the event, McEntire shared with “CBS Mornings” that she has been singing the anthem for many years and is confident in her preparation.

Reba McEntire explained that in order to prepare for a concert, she warms up by singing the songs five or six times before performing them. She emphasized the importance of getting into the right mindset before going on stage.

Post Malone will sing “America the Beautiful” and Andra Day will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” (also known as the Black national anthem) before the game starts. These performances are part of the pregame festivities, in addition to McEntire’s singing.

2013’s “Switched at Birth,” will perform

There will also be performances in American Sign Language for each song. Actor Daniel Durant, known for his role in “Switched at Birth” from 2013, will be performing.the film “CODA,”

Anjel Piñero, an actress, model, and dancer, will sign “America the Beautiful” in ASL during the performance of the national anthem. Shaheem Sanchez, an actor and choreographer, will also sign “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

DJ Tiësto has been selected as the first in-game DJ for the Super Bowl.

The NFL recently declared that Tiësto would serve as the “primary DJ” for the Super Bowl in late January. According to the Associated Press, Tiësto has backed out of his performance at Sunday’s Super Bowl due to a private family issue.

“I am excited to celebrate with all of you!” Tiësto posted on X, previously referred to as Twitter.

According to the NFL, the DJ who has won a Grammy Award will perform a set while players prepare for the game. He will also play during designated breaks throughout the game. Parts of his performance will be shown on CBS during the Super Bowl LVIII broadcast.

  • Country music legend Reba McEntire will be taking the stage for her debut Super Bowl performance to perform the national anthem.

  • Daniel Durant, the performer, will be using American Sign Language to sing the national anthem.

  • Post Malone, the hip-hop artist, is set to perform “America the Beautiful.”

  • The performer Anjel Piñero will use American Sign Language to sing the national anthem.

  • Andra Day – The singer will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” 
  • Shaheem Sanchez – The actor and choreographer will sign Lift Every Voice and Sing in an American Sign Language performance. Later, Sanchez will perform a sign language rendition of the halftime performance. 

The 58th Super Bowl will be broadcasted on CBS and Nickelodeon and can be streamed on Paramount+ on Sunday, February 11th, from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
