According to court documents and two sources familiar with the situation, the previous Massachusetts Air National Guard member who disclosed numerous highly confidential military and intelligence documents, plans to admit guilt.
On Monday, Teixeira is expected to make a statement of guilt at a hearing in Boston’s federal court. The court has scheduled a Rule 11 hearing, in which a judge will assess the voluntary and sufficient nature of the guilty plea. Teixeira’s lawyer has chosen not to make a statement on Thursday.

A few weeks had passed since the confidential documents surfaced on the internet.
In the end, measures were taken against 15 people for neglecting their duties, following a investigation by the service’s internal watchdog which revealed that Teixeira’s unit did not respond appropriately to at least four security incidents. The report determined that Teixeira was solely responsible for the release of sensitive information, but his colleagues in the unit also contributed by not adequately overseeing his access to classified data.
