Nikki Haley, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination against former President Donald Trump, has requested Secret Service protection due to a rise in threats she has received.
Haley, the previous United States ambassador to the UN and currently the only major Republican candidate still in competition with Trump, stated to the Wall Street Journal on Monday that her campaign has encountered “numerous challenges.”
She stated that it would not hinder her from completing her necessary tasks.
An individual running for president as an independent expressed on social media their concern that Nikki Haley’s safety may be prioritized over theirs. They have made three requests which have been denied.
