In the hours before Monday morning, according to sources in South Korea and Japan, North Korea conducted two missile tests, including an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that has the potential to reach any part of the U.S. mainland.

The specific information about its recent launches was not immediately verified by the company. However, officials from South Korea and Japan, who are both strong allies of the United States, reported that the long-range rocket traveled approximately 600 miles and landed in the sea northwest of Tokyo, near Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido.

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, observed with delight as his military displayed their new long-range missiles in recent parades held in Pyongyang. It is possible that some of these missiles were the same type launched on Monday morning.
