The leaders of the cartel have initiated a violent spree to track down corrupt officials who have stolen a shipment of drugs in Tijuana.

The recent string of murders in Tijuana, a city on the Mexican border, resembles a plotline from a television show. Drug kingpins, angered by corrupt police officers who stole their drug shipment, are seeking revenge.

It is thought that the individual who possessed the substances may have sought revenge on a larger scale.

Tijuana, located in the state of Baja California on the border of Mexico, has the highest homicide rate compared to any other city in Mexico. It reports approximately twice as many murders as the second-highest city, Ciudad Juarez. Despite having a population of over 2.1 million, Tijuana has consistently recorded around 2,000 homicides each year. In contrast, Houston, Texas, with a similar population, had 435 homicides in 2022.
