The Department of Justice has declared charges of terrorism against a member of Hezbollah, a terrorist organization from Lebanon, for his involvement in plotting the bombing of a Jewish community center in Argentina in 1994.
Samuel Salman El Reda, who is 58 years old, is accused of organizing the operations of a terrorist group in South America, Asia, and Lebanon since 1993. This includes the bombing that occurred on July 18, 1994 in Buenos Aires, which resulted in the death of 85 individuals and injuries to hundreds more. This information was provided by federal prosecutors in New York.
The charges claim that El Reda, who holds citizenship in both Colombia and Lebanon, provided information to members of Hezbollah on the day of the bombing. It is also alleged that he has been involved in recruiting, training, and overseeing operatives globally.
