Suzanne Shepherd, the renowned actress recognized for her performances in “The Sopranos” and “Goodfellas,” passed away at the age of 89, according to confirmation from her agency on Sunday.
According to her agency, Shepherd passed away on Friday morning at her residence in New York City. She is survived by her daughter Kate Shepherd, son-in-law Miles McManus, and granddaughter Isabelle Shepherd.
Shepherd starred as Karen Hill’s mother in “Goodfellas” and Carmela Soprano’s mother in “The Sopranos.” She was one of more than two dozen actors who appeared in both “Goodfellas” and “The Sopranos.”
