On Monday, President Biden requested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu temporarily halt the fighting in Israel.
The president stated on Tuesday.
While traveling in Washington, D.C., Mr. Biden spoke to reporters and requested a three-day break for the release of additional hostages, as per Axios’ report. It is unclear how long the pause will be.
“I was unable to speak with him today. I did previously request a break yesterday. I am still waiting for a response,” the president stated before his remaining remarks became unintelligible.
